Convocation was last Friday. My parents, brother, and grandparents came to Kingston for the occasion. The ceremony was not overly long and was quite enjoyable. I was glad my family could all come up to help me celebrate. After the ceremony we went out for a nice lunch before everyone went their separate ways.

Another reason I was excited that my mom was coming to Kingston was because she had my new digital camera. There was a pricing error on Best Buy’s web page a couple of weeks ago where they had a camera that costs about $380 for half price. As there is not a Best Buy in Kingston yet (they are building one) I called home and my mom was nice enough to go to Best Buy and managed to get the camera for me. It takes great pictures! I got to test it out a bit at a birthday party last Saturday.

I started my new job almost three weeks ago now. I am developing a web application for the Faculty of Applied Science at Queen’s University. I am enjoying the work so far. It is similar in many ways to what I did for my thesis project which is nice, yet different enough so that I am not at all bored. The people I am working with are really nice.

I am also trying to do some work to the site, redoing some of the coding and updating things as I go. I hope to get some more stuff up in the jokes section soon.
